Hail Aahan
He is Aarohan (to ascend) aka Aahan (dawn). The double A will ensure a roll number one throughout his academic career. A little bundle of happiness. The six month wait was worth the toothless smile he welcomed me with.

ReplyDeleteWe've just kept our son's name Aahan. I was just wondering...you've said Aarohan aka Aahan. So is Aahan a short form or pet name?
Also if I can stretch my luck here, do you have an exact root for the word "Aahan"? Right now all I have is dawn/morning.

Bombay Addict, Aahan is his pet name but not a shortened form. It's complete and deliberately different from the nonsensical pet names that we Bengalis usually have.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know Aahan means dawn. Haven't got any idea about other meanings. And Aarohan is the official name.
And I'll let my nephew know of his namesake.
